During the CIIE, Siemens Industrial automation Products (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Siemens Chengdu Digital Factory) received the “Carbon Neutrality Verification Statement” issued by TÜV SÜD (hereinafter referred to as TÜV SÜD), which means that it has Successfully passed the “Carbon Neutral Achievement” certification and became a carbon neutral factory. At the same time, Siemens SIMOTICS high-performance permanent magnet synchronous motor also obtained the “Carbon Neutrality Achievement Verification Statement”, becoming the first “carbon neutral product” of Siemens (Nanjing) CNC Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Siemens Nanjing Digital Factory). Both Siemens Chengdu Digital Factory and Nanjing Digital Factory have successfully deployed SiGREEN, Siemens’ trusted actuarial and traceability solution for carbon footprint, which has significantly improved the transparency of carbon footprint and laid a solid foundation for realizing carbon neutrality of factories and products.
“Enabling the zero-carbon Industrial chain with innovative technology has always been an important starting point for Siemens to implement the concept of sustainable development. We have made a lot of progress in building green factories, parks and green products. Today, our factories and products are carbon neutral. The certification is another important achievement of Siemens China’s active implementation of the “Zero Carbon Pioneer Program”, and it also has reference and leading significance for the green development of the entire industry.” said Ma Qing, Director of Talent and Organization Development and Head of Sustainable Development, Siemens Greater China , “Siemens is willing to be a pioneer, practitioner and enabler, with the ‘two-wheel drive’ of digitalization and low carbonization, continue to fully promote the carbon reduction process in the three major areas of its own operations, supply chain management and customer empowerment, and join hands with all parties Partners to achieve win-win economic, environmental and social benefits.”
“SiGREEN, Siemens’ carbon footprint trusted actuarial and traceability solution, is an effective tool and an important cornerstone for enterprises to carry out green and low-carbon transformation. It can help enterprises realize the transparency of product and organizational carbon footprints, and provide accurate data and technical support for carbon reduction decisions. Hu Jianjun, vice president and chief network and information security officer of Siemens (China) Co., Ltd., said, “SiGREEN can realize the transparency of carbon footprints of products and upstream and downstream partners, and build links, exchange, and verify carbon footprint information based on blockchain technology. Trusted network to better coordinate and promote the industry’s entire value chain to achieve carbon reduction and sustainable development. In the future, based on SiGREEN, we look forward to working with upstream and downstream partners in the industry chain to create a low-carbon ecosystem and empower the green development of the industry .”
Based on ISO 14067 and other international standards for product carbon footprint, SiGREEN combines Siemens energy management, industrial edge computing, blockchain and other technologies, as well as digital expertise and experience in the field of manufacturing, to accurately calculate and trace industrial products in different manufacturing processes. Carbon emissions data in . After its first exhibition at the last CIIE, it has been successfully deployed in several Siemens factories, and has launched pilot applications for external customers including Beijing Benz. SiGREEN can support local and cloud deployments, and provide the necessary technical support for various enterprises to realize credible disclosure and verification of carbon footprints of products and organizations. Through the application of SiGREEN, Siemens Chengdu Digital Factory has realized the transparency of the organization’s carbon footprint, combined with continuous improvement of energy resource utilization efficiency, enhanced lean and digital production, procurement and use of green certificate electricity, etc., to reduce and offset its own carbon dioxide emissions, to achieve Carbon neutral. Based on the deployment of SiGREEN, Siemens Nanjing Digital Factory has realized the transparency of the product carbon footprint of four servo motors, accurately calculated and tracked the carbon emission data of the products in the upstream suppliers and the manufacturing process, and used blockchain technology to build The encrypted trust network realizes the transparent integration and sharing of the carbon footprint of upstream suppliers’ raw materials, so as to complete the product carbon footprint verification throughout the entire value chain. Among them, Siemens SIMOTICS high-performance permanent magnet synchronous motor is based on the carbon neutral standard PAS2060, combined with the offset of corresponding environmental rights and interests, it has become the first carbon neutral product produced by Siemens Nanjing Digital Chemical Factory.
China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, TÜV SÜD, supplier partners Datong Gear Transmission (Kunshan) Co., Ltd. and Jiangyin Huaxin Precision Technology Co., Ltd. jointly witnessed the certification ceremony at the CIIE. In the future, Siemens will join hands with various partners to promote the co-construction of the SiGREEN ecological network and jointly accelerate the process of industrial decarbonization.
